Assignment#4

Answer question 4 of chapter 7

In club activity(chorus) in my high school days, we always had opposite idea to our teacher. I do not mean she is a troublemaker but she might have been a kind of malcontent. We should have express our idea to her, but we didn't. Although sometimes we did,  she had strong power in the club and we couldn't change her mind. In this time, I was negative for dealing with conflicts.

In chorus club in my secondary school days, I was more active for dealing wih conflicts. When problems came upon, we held meeting and tried to solve. Important things were talked out until we got the best conclusion. But my idea may have been biased and I didn't listen well to other member's idea because I was young.

Now, in my basketball team, there are many conflicts. We sometimes have a conflict with our superviser and seniors, but we explain our idea and try to engage them. I can listen to others idea. Therefore my current style of dealing with conflict is the negotiation aiming at win-win situation! :)

  1. Hi Sayaka,

I also think that to negotiate or discuss in order to get the best conclusion is important.

What is important is to listen to others' opinion. When I was young, I couldn't do that like you. I always think that I am right, they are wrong.

    Let's be a good person!!

  2. Yeh!

It sounds like you are getting increasingly better at dealing with conflicts. I hope what we are learning is helping.
